Well, that worked out okay in the end, didn't it?
...So why do I feel sad?

Same. The whole thing is sad, from Cate's unfair death, to Riley giving all of Cate's memories back by telling her how Riley feels, to Riley following in Ben's footsteps yet again. It's all sadder than it should be for something so triumphant, you know?

Well, you know what they say. All's well that ends well, but this is just the beginning. I presume this marks the first case solved? Are we professionals Sleuths yet? When do I get my paycheck?
It's good that Catherine can move on, but now there are more problems we're going to face. Anyone else feel the underlying sinister nature of Eden Park? Like the card says...
"A whopper is coming..."
(Maybe with an order of fries)

They actually seem pretty chill with it. I told them there was probably going to be a next time according to Riley's video and they said,
"I'm sure there will be, Riley and Ben aren't totally dissimilar. Ben couldn't help himself either."

Part of me wonders if that idea of Bens wasn't in reference to FFC....

I am also left with a bit of an aching sadness in my chest, and I agree, Riley may take up Ben's mantle but it seems likely there is something far more sinister than a few ghosts laying about that is going on in Eden Park.
FFC might have told us goodbye if they also knew it was truly over. Things are not going to stay simple forever, but it was a bit heartwarming to see Riley connect to Catherine in a way younger siblings can (I myself am the eldest so don't quite know how that feels).

I am the eldest of four sisters so I know what you mean about not feeling the connection quite the same way - and bittersweet has a good application here. And I really do like Scarlett... I almost get a sense of her being a... mentor/guide/something for Riley?
